Mead & Hunt is a nationally recognized, fullservice architectural, engineering, and construction consulting firm with a long history of delivering innovative, technically complex projects across North America. We are seeking a Food & Beverage Senior Market Leader to provide national leadership for strategy, client engagement, and growth across Mead & Hunt's Food & Beverage market.

This role is responsible for developing and executing market strategy, expanding and sustaining relationships with national and regional food and beverage manufacturers, and aligning pursuits with scalable delivery capabilities across the firm.

The Food & Beverage Senior Market Leader serves as the strategic market owner for Mead & Hunt's Food & Beverage business. This role is not a project delivery position, but a marketfacing leadership role focused on client strategy, pursuit governance, industry presence, and growth execution-working in close partnership with group leadership and delivery teams.

Travel will be a normal and expected part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Strategy & Business Development Leadership

  • Develop and execute a national Food & Beverage market strategy aligned with Mead & Hunt's longrange strategic and business plans
  • Identify, prioritize, and advance growth opportunities with national and regional food and beverage manufacturers
  • Lead or support go/nogo decisions, pursuit strategies, teaming approaches, and client interview preparation for major pursuits
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory drivers, and client capital investment priorities impacting the food and beverage industry
  • Build and maintain seniorlevel relationships with clients, industry partners, and strategic teaming firms
  • Support targeted marketing campaigns, thought leadership, and conference participation

Pursuit & Delivery Alignment

  • Partner closely with engineering, architecture, and construction delivery teams to align pursuits with execution capabilities
  • Support development of realistic scopes, staffing plans, schedules, and fee strategies, including engineeringled EPC delivery models
  • Participate in early engagement and preproject planning to ensure continuity from pursuit through execution
  • Serve as Client Manager for select key food and beverage clients during pursuit and early project phases, as appropriate

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work across Mead & Hunt service lines to crosssell and integrate multidisciplinary services
  • Mentor and guide market leaders, associate market leaders, and business development staff
  • Provide quality assurance and "red team" leadership on proposals and major pursuits
  • Support marketing initiatives including conferences, client events, industry panels, and thought leadership activities

Client Engagement & Industry Presence

  • Represent Mead & Hunt at industry conferences, client meetings, and Food & Beverage events
  • Support client satisfaction efforts, pursuit debriefs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and market visibility across pursuits, relationships, and client activities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering, construction management, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years within the Food & Beverage industry

OR

  • If no degree; at least 14 years of relevant marketing experience, including at least 6 years within the Food & Beverage industry

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Professional engineering (PE) license or relevant professional certification
  • 20 years of relevant experience including at least 10 years within the Food & Beverage industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working within AEC and engineeringled EPC environments
  • Proven ability to develop client strategies and lead major pursuits
  • Experience working with national food and beverage manufacturers
  • Strong understanding of process facilities, industrial systems, and EPC execution models
  • Experience leading or collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly
