Electrical Engineer Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite - 5 days/week) Pay: $60 - $75/hr. Florida's power grid faces more storm events than nearly any state in the nation - and utilities are investing heavily to harden it. Advantage Technical is placing an Electrical Distribution Engineer with a leading utility client in Tampa, FL to support critical reliability and resilience programs. What You'll Do Lead FLISR (Fault Location, Isolation & Service Restoration) analysis, settings development, and implementation Support feeder hardening, underground conversions, wood pole replacement, and Storm Protection Programs (SPP) Perform protection coordination, fusing analysis, and load transfer/phase balancing Review one-line diagrams and approve contractor designs to utility and NESC standards Collaborate across engineering, planning, ADMS, and field operations teams What You Bring Distribution engineering experience in an electric utility environment Strong background in system protection, coordination, and circuit analysis Familiarity with outage management and work management systems Ability to work independently on complex, high-stakes assignments BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university preferred PE License preferred Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) options available Weekly pay via direct deposit Employee discount programs No fees for partnering with Advantage Technical Apply now - qualified candidates will be contacted promptly.
