SUMMARY

The Events and Scheduling Coordinatorwill serve as an entry-level professional supporting the Events & Scheduling team within the Commissioners Office. Reporting directly to the Director of Events and Scheduling, this role will provide essential operational, communication, and administrative support to ensure effective constituent engagement and streamlined coordination across Commissioners Office activities.

The position will primarily manage constituent communication tracking and reporting, assist with general office communications, and support comprehensive calendar and event coordination for the Commissioners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and be capable of managing high-volume, detail-oriented tasks with professionalism and discretion.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee tracking, communication, and reporting related to constituent inquiries received by the Commissioners Office.
  • Assist in drafting, coordinating, and distributing general communications on behalf of the Commissioners Office.
  • Manage and maintain all Commissioners' calendars, including scheduling, event coordination, and deadline tracking.
  • Assist in gathering, preparing, and contributing to briefing materials for assigned meetings and events.
  • Support the Director of Events and Scheduling and Deputy Director of Events with planning, logistics, staffing, and execution of County-hosted meetings and events.
  • Ensure events invitations, event staffing requests are communicated well in advance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as an internal liaison to internal departments as it pertains to constituent engagement, event invitations, or general outreach.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage professionally with constituents via email and phone.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
