The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Diagnostic Cardiology department secretary and front desk receptionist. Registers patients for tests, sends out patient test results in a timely manner, communicates with physicians and physician offices. Helps facilitate patient appointments along with patient access, assists with insurance authorization, acts as liaison between patients and technical staff and attends staff and department meetings.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proficient with Microsoft office

Preferred:

• EPIC EMR

• Bilingual in Spanish

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift - 7:00am - 5:00pm
• Monday-Friday
• Full-Time/Day

Essential Functions:

• Greeter for all NIC and OP lab patients
• Checks-in patients for testing
• Registers patients for testing when needed
• Obtains and or checks insurance authorizations
• Patient scheduling, especially STAT orders.
• Sends test results to physicians
• Assists physician offices with scheduling and testing requirements
• Liaison between patients and technical staff
• Calls patients to confirm appts and give instructions/directions
• Orders supplies for department
• Responsible for NIC payroll.
