Role Overview The Director, Supplier Quality - EE & Modules is responsible for leading supplier quality strategy and execution across Electrical & Electronic (EE) components and integrated modules. This role ensures robust supplier performance, launch readiness, and systemic prevention of quality issues through strong governance, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with Purchasing, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Development. Key Responsibilities Supplier Quality Leadership & Strategy
- Own and execute the supplier quality strategy for EE & Module commodities, aligning quality objectives with program, cost, and timing commitments
- Serve as the executive escalation point for high-risk suppliers, systemic quality issues, and launch readiness concerns
- Establish governance, metrics, and standards to drive defect prevention, issue containment, and continuous improvement across the supply base
People & Organization Leadership
- Lead and develop a global team of Supplier Quality Managers, Engineers, and Specialists
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance management aligned with current and future organizational needs
- Promote a data-driven and accountability-focused quality culture across the organization
Supplier Performance & Risk Management
- Oversee supplier assessments, audits, APQP execution, and risk mitigation plans for EE and module suppliers
- Ensure effective problem resolution through root cause analysis, corrective action validation, and lessons learned implementation
- Monitor and act on quality KPIs, launch metrics, and supplier scorecards to ensure sustained improvement
Cross-Functional & Executive Engagement
- Partner closely with Purchasing, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Program Management to support sourcing and launch decisions
- Prepare and present supplier quality status, risks, and recovery plans to senior leadership and executive forums
- Influence supplier selection, sourcing strategies, and make/buy decisions through quality-driven insights
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 10 or more years of progressive experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or Product Engineering
- Demonstrated experience leading managers and global teams
- Strong technical background in electrical/electronic systems, modules, or complex assemblies
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and resolve complex, system-level quality issues
