Summary


The Supervisor, Driver Operationsis responsible foroverseeing the day-to-day activities of company drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant transportation operations. This role provides leadership and support to a team of drivers while coordinating operational activities that promote on-time delivery, regulatory compliance, andhigh levelsof customer satisfaction.



The Supervisor, DriverOperationsworks closely with operations leadership, customer service teams, and drivers tooptimizerouting,monitorperformance, and resolve operational challenges. This role plays a keypartinmaintainingcompliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations while ensuring driversoperatein accordance withcompany safety standards and operational procedures.



Duties & Responsibilities




  • Supervise and provide leadership to a team of drivers, including performance monitoring, coaching, and ongoing support to ensure efficient and compliant transportation operations.






  • Conduct regular driver performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.






  • Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes safety, accountability, and high performance across the driver team.






  • Address and resolve driver-related operational issues, escalating concerns when necessary and ensuringtimelyresolution.






  • Plan, review, andoptimizetransportation routes to improve fuel efficiency, reduce deadhead miles, and ensure safe and on-time delivery of freight.






  • Monitor operational conditions such as traffic, weather, and route constraints,makingadjustmentsasnecessary to maintain service reliability.






  • Ensure driverscomply withall applicable DOT regulations, federal and state transportation laws, and company policies and procedures.






  • Conduct regular driver meetings focused on safety, operational updates, compliance expectations, and team communication.






  • Collaborate with customer service and operations teams to address delivery concerns and ensuretimelyresolution of customer issues.






  • Support initiatives designed to improve service quality, operational efficiency, and overall transportation performance.






  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related technology tools to manage driver operations, track performance, and support operational decision-making.






  • Provide training and guidance to drivers on the use of company technology platforms and operational systems.






  • Review and approve operational documentation, reports, and driver-related records asrequired.






  • Performadditionalduties andresponsibilities asassigned to support business operations.





Education & Experience




  • High school diploma or GEDrequired. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.






  • Previousexperience in transportation operations, fleet management, orlogisticsrequired.






  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience within transportation, trucking, orlogisticsoperations preferred.






  • Working knowledge ofDepartmentof Transportation (DOT) regulations and transportation compliance requirements.

The employee may occasionallybe requiredto bend, stoop, ornavigate aroundequipment and freight within the yard and warehouse environment as part of daily operational activities.



Work Environment


The workenvironmentcharacteristics described here are representative of those an employee mayencounterwhile performing the essential functions of this role. This roleoperatesacross both office and active yard and warehouse environments, where the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, moving vehicles and equipment, and noise levels consistent withanactivetransportation andlogisticsoperation. Adherence to all applicable safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements is expected when working in yard and warehouse areas. The employee works in a fast-paced operational setting and maybe requiredto manage multiple priorities simultaneously, respond to time-sensitive transportation issues, andmaintainfocus during periods of high activity. Extended hours may occasionally berequiredto support operational needs, driver scheduling, or service continuity.


For this position, the expected base pay range is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 Annuel. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
