Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Employment Relations Coordinator for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Reporting to a supervisor/manager within Employee Services, is responsible for administering complex HR functions, and act as liaison to Payroll & Timekeeping and OneSource for Leaves and Benefits. This includes, but is not limited to staff recruitment, benefits administration, payroll,
RIAS/
HCM administration, and administration of collective negotiations agreements and University policies, for a diverse staff of approximately 3,200 employees.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists with resolution of routine and non-routine issues that arise in the daily department HR operations. This requires an understanding of state and federal laws, University policies and procedures. Executes employment processes in a confidential manner to include background checks, physical exams, offer letters and onboarding.
- Manages administration of the following systems: HRIS, Timekeeping, I-9 records, Rutgers Onboarding and Recruitment System (ROCS) and the Absence Reporting System (ARS) for the Institutional Planning & Operations division.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping and/or report writing.
