Min T/E Requirements
An earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in an academic discipline from a regionally accredited institution is preferred. A master's degree is required.

  • a demonstrated record of outstanding teaching, leadership, professional accomplishment, and aptitude for administrative effectiveness,
  • 7 + years of experience in higher education, and
  • successful experience in the administration of existing graduate program(s) including recruitment, applications, enrollment, program assessment and support of students.

The College of Health Sciences is comprised of five (5) academic units dedicated to the practice, pedagogy, and promotion of health and wellness. Primary Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Program Outcomes is to provide collegewide leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive assessment and program evaluation system across the College of Health Sciences. The position ensures that academic programs consistently assess student learning and program effectiveness, use data to inform improvement, and demonstrate alignment with institutional goals and accreditation expectations.


Working within a distributed responsibility model, the Assistant Dean supports and guides faculty, department chairs, and program directors by establishing standardized assessment frameworks, strengthening assessment capacity, and ensuring the quality, sustainability, and meaningful use of assessment practices. As a member of the Dean's leadership team, the position also serves as a strategic advisor, synthesizing outcomes data to inform planning, decisionmaking, and longterm academic effectiveness initiatives.
Job Description
The Assistant Dean for Assessment and Program Outcomes provides strategic leadership for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive, college-wide system of assessment and program evaluation across the College of Health Sciences.


This role is responsible for establishing coherent, standardized frameworks for assessment, strengthening faculty and program-level capacity, and ensuring that academic programs demonstrate measurable student learning, program effectiveness, and alignment with accreditation and institutional expectations.


Working within a distributed assessment model, the Assistant Dean partners with department chairs, program directors, and faculty-who retain responsibility for discipline-specific assessment-to provide expert guidance, structure, and oversight. The position emphasizes system-building, faculty support, and quality assurance, ensuring that assessment practices are meaningful, sustainable, and consistently applied across all CHS programs.

  • Experience in a health sciences or interdisciplinary academic environment
  • Familiarity with multiple specialized accreditors (e.g., CCNE, CSWE, ACOTE)
  • Experience leading faculty development in assessment
  • Experience developing assessment systems across multiple programs
  • Experience with:

    • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
    • Learning management systems and assessment platforms



  • Record of scholarship in assessment, education, or outcomes research
