• High school diploma or GED required; 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
• Strong reading, writing, and math skills, including algebra and geometry.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, procedures, and technical documents.
• Skilled in solving practical problems and handling variable situations.
• Comfortable with both written and oral instructions, diagrams, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and engineering specifications to determine material, finish, and dimensional requirements.
• Perform surface finish comparisons using standard blocks and fingertip touch methods.
• Measure dimensions (length, height, angles, radii, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
• Report findings to the Inspection Supervisor and complete Inspection Deviation Reports (IDRs) as needed.
• Set up and test inspection equipment, including portable CMM and software.
• Calculate dimensions using blueprint values and standard formulas.
• Safely operate forklifts and cranes to move heavy components.
