Job Responsibilities

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs delegated patient care tasks for an assigned patient population and supports both clinical and administrative functions to facilitate efficient, highquality patient care.

Responsibilities include performing clinical duties and administrative tasks as assigned by the Department Manager, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice. The CMA provides care to all assigned patient populations and functions under the direct supervision of a Radiation Oncologist, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant for patient care activities.

Assignments, performance evaluations, and reporting structure are managed by the Department Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant

  • BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association (required)

  • Minimum of two (2) years of medical/surgical or oncology experience preferred

  • Previous medical office experience preferred
