About the Department of Nursing The Department of Nursing at MSU Denver is dedicated to preparing compassionate, skilled, and culturally responsive nurses who are equipped to meet the complex healthcare needs of diverse communities. The department offers a range of programs, including a traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), an RN to BSN program designed for working professionals, and an Accelerated Nursing Option (ANO) for second-degree students. Position Summary The Department of Nursing at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2026. This position has a primary teaching focus in Health Assessment, Evidence-Based Practice, and Foundations, and considers candidates with diverse clinical backgrounds. Additional teaching responsibilities in other areas may be assigned based on departmental needs and may include courses such as Senior Practicum, Ethics, Leadership, or other clinical courses aligned with the candidate's area of expertise. The successful candidate will support the Department of Nursing's mission by contributing to high-quality teaching, student engagement, and curriculum development. This role includes teaching 24 credit hours per academic year, which may include classroom, clinical, laboratory, hybrid, and online formats. Faculty are also expected to engage in scholarly activities and provide service to the department, university, and broader community. MSU Denver has a robust mentoring program for tenure-track faculty. The candidate will be enrolled in the Roadrunner Faculty Academy during their first year. This is a year-long course designed to support new faculty to navigate faculty life and thrive in teaching, scholarly activity and service. Responsibilities 1. Salary for Announcement The salary range for this faculty position is $82,000 - $89,000 at Assistant Professor rank. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, discipline, specialty, and training.
