Redwire Space Missions, LLC has a current opportunity for a
Mechanical Engineer (willing to consider all senior levels) to join our Spacecraft design team located at our facility in
Littleton, CO. If you excel at what you do, we would like to talk to you! We are a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team that that designs spacecraft structures across both flightproven platforms and cleansheet architectures, adapts quickly to changing program needs, and owns structural solutions from concept through integration. Summary
It is expected that you may not know all the answers at first, but that you are eager to find them! This includes a desire to learn new skills and concepts and apply your prowess to solve our customers' most difficult problems and invent new solutions. (If it were easy, they would do it themselves.) This is typically done by drawing on your fundamental understanding of the mechanical world and then exercising your artistic creativity to rearrange existing technology into novel applications and sometimes inventing entirely new technology.
This position will focus on developing state-of-the-art structures and mechanisms for satellites, launch vehicles, and missile defense applications. Some examples include but are not limited to spacecraft primary structure, lightweight and highstiffness assemblies, deployment and release mechanisms, avionics and payload mounting architectures, and tailored structural solutions enabling reliable mission performance from launch through end-of-life.

$107,000 - $190,000/annually

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
