Description:

We are seeking a Hybrid Cloud Administrator to lead the modernization and sustainment of proprietary customer programs within a multi-cloud environment. While the primary focus of this role is high-level AWS architecture and hands-on technical leadership, the position also involves managing integration activities across Azure Cloud. This role is designed for a technical leader who can bridge the gap between complex cybersecurity compliance (RMF/STIG) and modern software delivery, including the deployment of production-grade AI/ML pipelines. You will engage directly with program customers and IT operations to ensure our infrastructure is resilient, automated, and optimized for performance.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • AWS Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on architecture and troubleshooting for core AWS services (EC2, RDS, CloudWatch) to identify root causes and systemic gaps.
  • Multi-Cloud Integration: Contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure in both AWS and Azure, ensuring alignment with organizational best practices.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead stabilization efforts including batch reliability, performance tuning, resiliency, and cost optimization across cloud platforms.
  • Automation & Governance: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) to establish reliable patching and automated maintenance operating patterns.
  • AI/ML Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain end-to-end AI/ML pipelines, focusing on model serving and infrastructure-agnostic deployment (Kubernetes/Docker).
  • Compliance & Security: Execute against Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and support security compliance teams to ensure all implementations meet strict regulatory standards.
  • Mentorship & Standards: Guide engineering teams on cloud-native services and reference architectures, driving platform governance and standardized cloud guardrails.
  • Collaborative Support: Partner with Enterprise Architects and Cybersecurity teams to research and resolve complex application integration and performance issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This will be an onsite position.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in-lieu with experience / certifications.
  • AWS Expertise: 5+ years of experience in AWS Services, specifically: VPC, IAM, EC2, Auto-scaling, ELB, ECR, S3, RDS (Postgres), Lambda, SQS, SNS, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
  • Security Architecture: 5+ years of experience in cloud security architecture and design with a focus on major platforms (AWS required, Azure preferred).
  • IaC/CaC Automation: 3+ years of experience writing and implementing Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Python, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Containerization: 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and Docker-Compose.
  • AI/ML Production: Hands-on experience deploying AI/LLM solutions in production environments, including model serving (ONNX runtime, Triton, BentoML, or SageMaker).
  • Back-End Development: Proficiency in Back-end development with Python (FastAPI) and knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Argo CD, or Jenkins).
  • Networking: Thorough knowledge of computer architecture and enterprise networking.
  • Soft Skills: Strong sense of ownership and the ability to communicate effectively in English within an international team.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Operating Systems: 3+ years of experience with RedHat-based systems (RHEL, Oracle Linux) and SUSE Linux distributions (v12 or greater).
  • Front-End Development: Experience with modern frameworks (React, NextJS) to support full-stack application integration.
  • Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Compliance Frameworks: Experience with RMF, NIST, FedRAMP, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
  • Advanced Policy: Experience with Policy as Code (Azure Policy, OPA/Gatekeeper, or Rego).
  • Agile Methodology: Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
  • Specialized AI: Experience in LLM Agent development or speech-to-text and translation applications.
