Primary Purpose:

The Credit Analyst is responsible for the comprehensive analysis of financial information resulting in recommendations to assure the quality of a new and existing loan portfolio. There are several areas of specialty within the position that will be assigned based on experience, demand and capacity. These include financial statement spreading analysis and credit monitoring support.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Spreading financials, such as, business tax returns, reviewed and audited business financial statements, personal financial statements, and personal tax returns.
  • Identifying and communicate risk factors that could impact the bank's ability to be repaid.
  • Assisting with annual review of credit relationships.
  • Completing the Credit Approval Report for certain participation loans.
  • Assisting with clearing financial ticklers.
  • Assisting with inputting new clients into mainframe applications.
  • Reviewing Maturing Loan report.
  • Reviewing Financial Tracking report.
  • Updating margin reviews, borrowing base advances, and covenant tests.
  • Obtaining Credit Bureau Reports.
  • Determining if financial projections are needed.
  • Completing cash flows and global cash flows when needed.
  • Working closely with manager to support the credit analysis function and other projects as directed.
  • Obeying all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)



Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:



  • Has intermediate understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and business tax returns including K-1s.
  • Has the ability to work independently and prioritize work with minimal assistance.
  • Has a high degree of attention to detail in order to ensure completeness and accuracy of the analysis.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Has minimum of 1 year of financial experience required, or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance in lieu of direct experience.



Physical Requirements:



  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
