As a Roadway Programs Technician 2 with the Department of Transportation, you will play an essential part in keeping roadway programs organized and efficient. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports roadway maintenance planning by gathering data, reviewing operational details, and helping develop accurate plans and reports. It plays a key role in ensuring that materials, budgets, and maintenance activities stay aligned with county goals. As a Roadway Programs Technician 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Operational Review: Evaluate maintenance work activities and verify compliance with performance measures
- Data Analysis: Compile information on materials, equipment, and work units to support planning and budgeting
- Material Coordination: Determine material needs, prepare bids, track inventory, and monitor availability
- Program Monitoring: Use system data to track progress on maintenance goals and update related records
- Budget Support: Assist with budget development, expenditure reports, and purchasing documents
- Inventory Verification: Visit stockpiles to check quantities and maintain accurate material records

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
