The Clerk Typist 3 position with the Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging offers a welcoming role where you will help community members connect with important services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
This position supports front desk operations by greeting visitors, answering calls, and helping community members access agency programs and services. It plays an important role in keeping daily operations organized and ensuring accurate communication. As a Clerk Typist 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Front Desk Support: Greet visitors, answer calls, schedule appointments, and direct individuals to the proper location
- Program Guidance: Provide information about agency programs and make referrals for available services
- Record Updating: Maintain spreadsheets, visitor logs, and mail distribution for the office
- Software Assistance: Assist Senior Center participants with using the Co-Pilot software system
- Mail Handling: Receive packages, sort mail, and distribute items to staff as needed
- Administrative Tasks: Use Microsoft Office programs to complete assigned tasks and support daily operations
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 2, and educational development to the level of completion of high school; or
- One year of progressively complex clerical typing experience and completion of high school; or
- Six months of moderately complex clerical typing work and completion of a post high school business curriculum; or
- Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges, skills, and abilities..
Other Requirements:
- This position requires the selected candidate to be able to read, write, and speak in Spanish. You may be contacted for a Spanish speaking proficiency evaluation conducted by the Bureau of Talent Acquisition, PA Office of Administration. If contacted, you must pass the speaking evaluation in order to be deemed eligible for this position. Your proficiency in reading and writing in Spanish must be demonstrated during the probationary period to achieve regular status in the position.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lebanon County. If no eligible candidates who live within Lebanon County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
