The Department of Environmental Protection is looking for a Clerical Assistant 2 (Limited Term) who is ready to make a real impact. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports several environmental programs by organizing, preparing, and updating both paper and digital files for a scanning project in the Southwest Regional Office. Your work will help keep essential records accurate and accessible across multiple program areas. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- File Maintenance: Maintain, update, and prepare case, subject, permit, and general files for scanning across multiple programs
- Document Preparation: Prepare hardcopy materials for digitization by condensing, reorganizing, and ensuring proper formatting
- Digital Processing: Scan files, follow naming standards, and upload documents into digital systems including OnBase
- Data Management: Input new files, revise file names, delete outdated items, and organize documents in numerical order
- Technical Use: Operate microfiche readers, scanners, and office software such as Excel, Word, Access, and email
- Record Retrieval: Locate documents and create start sheets upon request for staff needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Limited Term, Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the hourly rate of $18.46 (before taxes). -

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
