What to Expect

The AI Product Analyst, Megapack Operations will own the building, maintenance, and adoption of AI-powered tools and agents that support Tesla's Megapack business. This role sits at the intersection of product thinking, hands-on AI tool development, and operational domain knowledge. You will build and maintain RAG-based agents, support a shipped desktop AI platform (600+ users), curate a shared skills repository, and drive enablement programs that help non-technical teams use AI effectively in their daily work.

This is not a traditional analyst role. You will spend the majority of your time building and shipping AI products, not writing reports. A great AI Product Analyst is someone who can investigate why an agent gave a wrong answer in the morning, ship a fix by lunch, write the documentation in the afternoon, and present adoption metrics to leadership by end of day.

As a key member of the Megapack Operations team, you will work closely with the AI product lead, software engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Legal, Service, and Deployment. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, energized by building tools that make other people's jobs easier, and willing to wear many hats in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do
  • Build, tune, test, and maintain AI agents powered by RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) platforms, including document ingestion, prompt engineering, chunking strategy, and answer quality validation
  • Support a shipped AI desktop application by testing new features, filing structured bug reports, validating UX with real users, and feeding product feedback to the engineering team
  • Curate and manage a shared AI skills repository, including reviewing contributions from other teams, enforcing metadata standards, and maintaining a prompt template library
  • Design and deliver AI enablement programs: training materials, walkthrough videos, onboarding guides, monthly newsletters, office hours, and AI Show & Tell sessions
  • Track and report on AI adoption metrics across the organization, including weekly active users, retention, tool usage frequency, and time-to-value
  • Write clear use-case documentation for each AI tool in the portfolio so teams can self-serve

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools (Claude, GPT, Copilot, or similar) in a professional setting, not just personal experimentation
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain RAG-based agents or LLM-powered applications (prompt engineering, document pipelines, quality testing)
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, data processing, and API integration
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows (branching, PRs, code review)
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create documentation, training materials, and user guides for non-technical audiences
  • Experience with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, quoting tools, or project management platforms) or willingness to learn Tesla's internal systems quickly
  • Product instinct: you can identify when something feels wrong to a user, not just when it crashes
