JOB SUMMARY

The Plumbing Account Manager is responsible for developing new business and maintaining client relationships focused on plumbing systems and services. This role requires technical knowledge combined with strong sales and customer service skills to promote McKenney's plumbing solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all functions needed to maintain a customer account, including sales, correspondence, customer relations, project supervision, scheduling, drawing review, and estimation.
  • Identify and qualify prospective clients in commercial, healthcare, data center, and higher education markets.
  • Present plumbing products and service solutions emphasizing efficiency and innovation.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts tailored to client needs.
  • Maintain CRM records and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate to develop customized solutions.
  • Post-sale follow-up to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of sales experience in plumbing or mechanicalcontracting.
  • 5 years of commercial plumbing experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales software.
  • Technical understanding of commercial plumbingsystems and related products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have basic PC experience in Windowsenvironments, working knowledge of Wordprocessing, spreadsheets, and e-mail.

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to understand technical details and translate them into business value.
  • Professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust

  • Highly adaptable and able to respond quickly to changing customer demands

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in consultative or B2B sales.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient plumbing technologies.
  • Med-Gas Knowledge
  • State Plumbing License

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS

  • Primarily office-based with travel to client sites, meetings, and events.
  • Occasional lifting of promotional materials or equipment.
