Redwire Space Missions, LLC is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager (willing to consider all levels)
to join our team in Littleton, CO. In this role, you will partner closely with engineering, quality, and program leadership to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of our mission-critical systems. This position is well suited for candidates with strong program and risk management experience who excel in risk management, cross-functional coordination, and disciplined program execution.
Summary
The Mission Assurance Manager is a key member of the program leadership team and is responsible for driving mission success through structured oversight of risk, requirements, system safety, quality, and process compliance. This role requires execution discipline, analytical rigor, and the ability to integrate mission assurance principles across the full program lifecycle. Candidates with backgrounds in complex, regulated industries (e.g. automotive, telecommunications, medical devices, energy, defense, high-tech manufacturing) are encouraged to apply.
Success in this role will be measured through key performance indicators such as risk burndown rate, corrective action closure time, verification completeness, audit readiness, change control cycle time, and early defect detection rates.
Responsibilities
Mission Assurance Leadership: Oversee mission assurance activities, including:
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks in design, development, and operational phases; develop and execute risk mitigation plans and support Risk and Opportunity Boards as a voting member or risk manager (familiarity with DoDI ROI-2023-2-2 or NASA/SP-2011-3422 preferred).
Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, safety, and performance through data-driven analysis and corrective action processes.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g. MIL-STD-882, ISO 9001, AS9100) and customer-specific requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams to integrate mission assurance and safety principles into all phases of the project lifecycle.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain mission assurance plans, safety reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication skills written and verbal. Presentation experience is required.
Audits and Reviews: Conduct and support internal/external audits, design reviews, and safety assessments to verify compliance and performance.

Pay Range
$130,000 - $190,000 How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwiredetermines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
