As a Security Officer Retail Store Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and bring our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Position Type: Full Time / Day Shift

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas while observing customer and employee activity for security-related issues, policy concerns, and/or service needs.
• Support loss prevention awareness by reporting suspicious behavior, assisting with incident response, and communicating clearly with site contacts and local authorities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
