Position Summary: The Regional Operations Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing the deployment and maintenance of resources and personnel in the field in the DC/MD/VA Area. This role ensures successful execution of technology system implementation and ongoing maintenance activities across multiple project sites. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to guide teams through installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.

  • Lead a team within the assigned region in completing projects on time and within budget, to specifications, with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage field installation and maintenance operations including personnel, vehicles, trailers, inventory, and equipment.
  • Conduct operations in accordance with company policies and Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
  • Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Conduct risk assessment and reports on identified risks; provides recommendations for actions based on risk analysis.
  • Prioritize work assignments
  • Manage utilization across assigned resources establishing performance metrics
  • Collaborate across multiple regions for efficient use of company resources
  • Conduct capacity planning including workload demand
  • Forecast staffing and resource needs
  • Support surge planning and cross-region resource sharing
  • Coordinate rapid response to critical maintenance issues
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams including the Program Management Office to ensure satisfaction and operational success.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations and company specific compliance requirements.

Education/Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; 4 years of experience in advanced communications, security technologies, electronics, and electrical troubleshooting skills may be substituted for degree
  • One year first line supervisory experience
  • Leading a dispersed work force across a geographical region


Language Ability:



  • Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.


Mathematical Ability:



  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability:



  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to understand data networks, digital video cameras and recorders, fiber optics, security surveillance, and basic electronics fundamentals.


Computer Skills:



  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications.


Certificates and Licenses:



  • Drivers License
  • PMP - able to obtain within 1 year
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 - able obtain within 6 months
  • Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, Fire Suppression Systems, CCTV preferred


Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises Field Technology Specialists. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The noise level can vary from moderate to loud.

The environment will range from remote work from an office type location to onsite work in an outdoor environment exposed to varying high or low temperatures.

An employee will be expected to work-from-home with minimal distraction and with the occasional need to commute to an office environment or meeting location.

An employee will be expected to keep up with dynamic environment, exhibiting adaptability with a positive attitude.

Work may be performed at moderately high heights, up to 40 feet above the ground using bucket trucks, scissor lifts and ladders.

An employee may be required to travel approximately 75% of the time to field locations, while in the field the employee is required to comply with the Field Employee Uniform policy.

An employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Vision requirements for this position include close vision.
