Mission: Quantum is seeking a Military Operations Specialist, the ideal candidate will become the main POC to provide in-depth operational and technical knowledge of the Force Tracking MMC (Mission Management Center) system and communicate with the applicable organizations and agencies on all systems, plans, and policies. The work will include overseeing technology assessments and analysis, security support, concept design and exploration of emerging technologies, systems integration, R&D, and IT and cyber support. Responsibilities:
- The Military Operations Specialist and Task Order lead shall provide operational and technical expertise for Subject Matter expertise, customer support, customer outreach, troubleshooting and training.
- Support Force Tracking operations to all authorized users for situational awareness and C2.
- Ability to work as an integrated team lead and member of a dynamic and mission focused team to promote a cooperative working environment and a positive team atmosphere providing mission critical data to the warfighter.
- Provides direct support to system users to enable military operations. Functions may include activation and provisioning of devices, system/architecture troubleshooting, maintaining access control lists, documenting all actions and issues and consulting with manufacturers and vendors for documentation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to handle complex tasks. Forecast computational requirements for mission specific needs and provide Course of Actions (CoAs) to customers.
- Provide operational and technical inputs for the system implementation, maintenance, upgrading, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, administration, sustainment, and test and evaluation of the hardware, software, and network systems, maintaining ACL's.
- Operate systems in a cloud/virtual machine environment that include Windows based operating systems, web applications and unique COTS/GOTS applications in an enterprise architecture distributed across a network on three security domains (cloud/NIPRNET/SIPRNET) at multiple geographic locations.
- If required, provide surge support for 24/7 support for all FT MMC related activities.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software to include unique software and systems.
- Attend technical meetings as directed.
- Provide continuous monitoring of systems ensuring uninterrupted availability to the user community.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8 years relevant work experience in military operations and a Bachelors degree or 11 years with a high school diploma.
- Active DoD Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security is required
- Experience supporting a critical warfighter mission. Understand how to operate in a complex DOW environment.
- Experience supporting programs with multiple levels of management. Ensure good communication across the team.
- Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally, responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside of the company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
- Must be able to travel 2 to 4 times per year, for weeklong meetings or support
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelors degree strongly preferred
- Desired: IT Specific certifications in specific area such as: AWS Practitioners Cert, RHEL Certs, Windows Associate Cert, etc
- Ability to perform multiple projects with dynamic tasking and follow-through from beginning to end on assigned tasks.
