Position Summary: Duke University is seeking a qualified candidate for the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach Position. This position will assist the Head Coach with the organizing, planning and coaching of the Women's Lacrosse team. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required * Prior coaching experience preferably at the Division I level required * A commitment to knowing and complying with NCAA, ACC, and institutional rules. Knowledge, Skills, Ability: * Ability to coach, work with a highly motivated student-athlete population * Excellent command of and capacity to teach high level lacrosse skills across positions. * Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills * Knowledge of intercollegiate sports operations * Ability to work in a highly dynamic and inclusive university setting Essential Functions: The candidate will demonstrate the ability to assist the coaching staff in all phases of a highly competitive Division I lacrosse program including, but not limited to: recruiting, on-field coaching/training; organization of practice/game strategies; scouting; film review; monitoring of academic progress; administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
