About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SOX Compliance Auditor to support the Internal Controls and SOX Compliance program for a leading media and entertainment organization. This role is responsible for independently executing SOX key control testing, evaluating control design and operating effectiveness, and documenting audit procedures, findings, and results in a clear and organized manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SOX compliance, internal audit, and financial controls within a public company environment. This position requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform SOX key control testing across various business and financial processes
  • Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness
  • Document testing procedures, audit findings, and supporting workpapers
  • Assist with remediation tracking and control deficiency assessments
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, narratives, and flowcharts
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and business teams to obtain supporting evidence and resolve audit issues
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables are completed within established timelines

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-6 years of experience in SOX compliance and internal audit
  • Hands-on experience with:


    • SOX testing
    • Control design assessments
    • Remediation activities
    • Process documentation and flowcharts


  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
