THE POSITION

As a Construction Project Administrator 1 with the PA State Police, you will be part of a team that oversees improvements to vital public safety facilities. Your work will help ensure buildings and grounds remain in top condition for the personnel who rely on them. You will take part in planning, inspecting, and coordinating facility upgrades that keep operations running strong. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position plays a key role in managing building maintenance, construction projects, and leased facilities for the PA State Police. It supports safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplaces across many types of sites. As a Construction Project Administrator 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Facility Oversight: Manage maintenance, cleaning operations, and supervision of custodial and maintenance staff
- Project Coordination: Coordinate construction, renovation, and demolition projects and inspect work for safety and compliance
- Lease Management: Evaluate lease proposals, track costs, conduct field surveys, and oversee compliance for leased facilities
- Facility Improvements: Review upgrade requests, recommend improvements, and support implementation of approved facility changes
- Site Inspections: Conduct physical inspections, attend meetings, and ensure work meets Department needs and standards
- Technical Support: Provide project administration support, conduct studies, and assist with management of asbestos materials

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Will require travel to Troop/Station locations throughout the Commonwealth.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $67,736 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; or
- Two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; and a bachelor's degree in construction technology, architecture, building science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, building automation systems, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities
Special Requirements:
- You must possess a valid Class C driver's license which is not under suspension.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years or more of AutoCAD experience.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
