Position Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible
for providing local support for procurement, import, export, transportation and
fulfillment to local sales companies.
This will involve close global collaboration with other Laerdal
manufacturing sites and distribution centers.
This position provides key information and support to product and
project managers regarding supply, inventory delivery and order status from
vendors to customers. This
role requires the ability to work through and influence others, good oral and
written communication with strong emphasis on follow up and organizational
capability.
Responsibilities:
Supply Planning & Procurement Execution
- Run MRP and place purchase orders to support customer and business demand.
- Maintain purchase order and ISR dates, statuses, and accuracy.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and vendors in alignment with business goals and ISO standards.
- Gather annual cost standards from thirdparty vendors and support cost standard updates.
Logistics & Trade Coordination
- Communicate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate item master, vendor master, and purchase order data within ERP and Agile systems.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing to stay informed on upcoming promotions and campaigns that impact demand.
Strategy & Performance Alignment
- Support achievement of global supply chain strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements:
- Ideal candidate must reside within commutable distance to Wappingers Falls, NY or Gatesville, TX
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 2-3 years related business experience OR a minimum of 4-5 years of purchasing and planning experience in an MRP II environment.
- Ability to travel on a quarterly basis
- Experience with
EDI, QAD, Excel, and Microsoft Office - Develop goals
that are both strategic and attainable - Exhibit the
desire for personal and organizational improvement - Demonstrates the ability to identify innovative opportunities and develop actionable plans to implement improvements.
- Consistently delivers results that meet or exceed customer and internal stakeholder expectations.
- Applies structured problemsolving methodologies, including rootcause analysis, brainstorming, and prioritization techniques.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000, eligible for 7% annual bonus
