The Opportunity
As part of Hitachi Energy's Service Business, you will manage and grow a services portfolio within the U.S. utility sector, focusing on expanding commercial opportunities that support the performance and longevity of grid infrastructure. You will work across a broad range of customers to shape account strategies, build a consistent pipeline, and guide opportunities from early engagement through contract execution. This role combines market insight, customer engagement, and commercial planning to address evolving grid needs such as asset lifecycle management, maintenance strategies, and reliability improvements. Working alongside cross-functional teams-including marketing, technical product management, and proposal development-you will contribute to go-to-market initiatives and align offerings to customer priorities. Your work directly supports utilities in maintaining safe, dependable operations across substations and generation environments while advancing service strategies that enhance resilience and long-term system performance. How You'll Make an Impact
Contribute to and execute sector growth strategies, identifying accounts where expanded engagement creates measurable value. Build and maintain a balanced opportunity pipeline, ensuring visibility across short-, mid-, and long-term prospects. Shape account and sector approaches using customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights. Run targeted campaigns to win, renew, and grow multi-year service agreements across utility customers. Collaborate with marketing, business development, and technical teams to refine go-to-market programs. Balance volume, mix, and profitability priorities across a portfolio of service offerings. Provide market and competitor study to inform commercial priorities and response strategies. Negotiate and finalize service agreements that align customer expectations with organizational priorities. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred. 8-15 years in sales or marketing, preferably in energy or power systems. Proven communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships across technical and commercial stakeholders. Solid understanding of the U.S. utility landscape, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics. Experience using Salesforce, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 for planning, reporting, and collaboration. Ability to travel up to approximately 60% and present to diverse audiences in both in-person and virtual settings.

The base salary range for this position is $139,600.00 - $174,500.00. This range reflects the pay scale that Hitachi Energy reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting, consistent with California pay transparency requirements.
