Pay Rate $19.25 per hour plus $0.50 shift premium

Schedule: Swing shift

Purpose of the Position: The main responsibility of this position is to set up the corn tortilla equipment, prepare and mix the masa, and monitor the cooking process. The role ensures all recipes, quality standards, and GMP requirements are followed while keeping production running smoothly

Essential Job Functions:



  • Monitor the production line to keep operations running smoothly
  • Record oven temperatures and product weights
  • Take samples and checked product quality
  • Inspect products and made small adjustments when needed
  • Add ingredients (corn meal) to mixers and adjusted water as needed
  • Set up and adjusted production equipment based on work orders
  • Move and organize ingredients and supplies for production
  • Bring materials from storage to the production line
  • Prepared work area by checking tools, equipment, and recipe.
  • Shut down equipment at the end of the shift
  • Keep the work area clean and organized
  • Complete required paperwork


Requirements:



  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
  • Must meet the company standards for the job.
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
  • Must be able to understand and follow all written SSOP's.
  • Must be able to understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
  • Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
