Talgo Inc. refurbishes passenger railcars for LA MetroLink at our Milwaukee facility, focusing on high quality mechanical and structural work to extend the service life of the railcars for another 30 years.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to support our finance team by processing invoices, maintaining records, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.

What You'll Do:

• Review invoices for accuracy, required documentation, and approvals prior to payment
• Process invoices and payments within SAP while resolving issues that prevent posting
• Maintain accounts payable records, reports, spreadsheets, and filing systems
• Assist with weekly check runs and expense report processing
• Respond to vendor inquiries and provide administrative support to the finance department
• Provide general administrative support, including participation in special projects and other tasks as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or accounts payable
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Understanding of GAAP and standard business practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Ability to sit, stand, and perform general office tasks throughout the workday
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
