Electrical Engineer (Contract) - Medical Device Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite) Pay Rate: $55-$70/hour We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a 12-month contract supporting a leading medical device integration project in Irvine, CA. This is a highly collaborative, execution-focused role working alongside senior engineers to integrate advanced technologies into a regulated product environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead electrical design remediation, product refinement, and test method validation Identify and close compliance gaps against SOPs and work instructions Develop engineering documentation, specifications, and validation reports Support risk management activities including FMEA and hazard analysis Evaluate engineering processes, components, and system feasibility Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to align design, testing, and quality standards Communicate project progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership Qualifications: Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 4+ years of experience (2+ with Master's) in a regulated environment Experience with implantable medical devices and testing (highly preferred) Strong skills in design documentation, troubleshooting, and systems analysis Excellent communication, critical thinking, and collaboration abilities U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available) Preferred Skills: IEC standards (14708, 45502, 60601) Analog/digital design, RF testing, PCB design (Altium), LTspice Test fixture development and verification testing Additional Details: Onsite role Up to 10% local travel Employee Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD & D Insurance If you're a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with medical device experience, apply today.
