Lead Service Officer (Commercial Syndication Administration & Loan Trading)

Job Summary

The Lead Servicing Officer is responsible for servicing agented, direct and non-agented deals consisting of a variety of Commercial Loan products within KeyBank Business Capital and Corporate Institutional sectors, and a few Middle Market. Our teammate will be responsible for providing superior client service while maintaining risk management, compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, and internal procedures and controls. Additionally, processing client's requests for advances, paydowns and repricing. The ideal candidate will possess the desire to give exceptional client service, team-player attitude and desire to grow their skills within the team.

Essential Functions

  • Servicing responsibility for assigned portfolio to include agented, direct, non-agented deals, ability to independently manage all servicing aspects of portfolio
  • Responsible for assigned tasks from workflow queue - KVD (KeyView Deluxe)
  • Intermediate understanding of financial and general ledger accounting entries, all working within LoanIQ
  • Report management
  • Proactively identifies and resolves risk management and client service issues, requiring interaction with agent bank and management; ensures appropriate balance between service and risk
  • Ongoing maintenance; interact with agent banks, client for fundings, re-pricings, payments, disbursements and client requests
  • Support ongoing initiatives to enhance commercial lending platform and servicing structure
  • Offers suggestions to support a continuous improvement mindset
  • Adherence to timeframes for all required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent commercial loan work experience

Work Experience

  • 4-year College Degree or equivalent commercial loan experience
  • Familiarity with commercial loan accounting systems, i.e.. KeyView Deluxe and LoanIQ (preferred)
  • PC proficiency includes familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Skills

  • Strong aptitude for analysis, systems and mathematics or understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a high-volume environment

Physical Demands

  • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $57,000.00 - $87,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
