Ambulatory Surgery

BiddefordAmbulatory Care Unit (ACU) RN's support many other areas of surgical services including the Sanford ACU, Biddeford Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy, and our Short Stay Unit. This position will berequiredto float to surgical service units toassistwhere needed.

In this role, an RN is responsible for pre and post procedure care and education.

This unit runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Surgical experience preferred, IMC/Critical Care experience strongly preferred.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care - MMC BID SAN roleis responsible forthe management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursingrequired; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications:Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurserequired. Current BLS certificationrequiredor must obtain within30 daysof start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACURN'srequire ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. OB, NICURN'srequire NRP Certification within one year of start date orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS.
  • Experience:One year of RN experiencerequired. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse - Acute Care role.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required:Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RNassistingLaboring Womenrequired.
