72,000 - 162,000 USD
paid holidays, flex time, 401(k)
United States, California, Palo Alto

What to Expect

Tesla Energy is
transforming how the world generates, stores, and consumes energy. We're
looking for a social-first storyteller who can make our residential energy
products (Powerwall, Solar, Home Charging, and the Tesla App) stand out across
social platforms. Starting with X.com as our primary channel, you will own
Tesla Energy's social presence globally, driving content strategy, creation,
and engagement.

This role requires
someone who is equal parts creative and operational. Someone who understands
how stories spread, what makes people stop scrolling, and how to turn product
innovation into genuine conversation. You'll help evolve and strengthen a
growing program, not just maintain it.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and produce compelling social content showcasing Tesla Energy products, customers, innovations, and milestones, including original short-form video, graphics, threads, and real-time reactive content
  • Translate product announcements, feature launches, company news, and competitive moments into timely, high-impact social content
  • Source and curate user-generated content, customer stories, and real-world product performance that resonates authentically
  • Own the Tesla Energy social content calendar and posting cadence onX.com, balancing proactive storytelling with announcement-driven content and adapting for additional platforms as the program scales
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, creative, comms, engineering, regional) and external partners including Certified Installers to surface stories worth amplifying, ensuring all content meets Tesla's corporate guidelines and brand standards
  • Build and maintain social listening practices, stay ahead of platform trends and emerging formats, and proactively pitch new content ideas and campaigns to leadership
  • Shepherd content through internal approval workflows, establish scalable production processes, track performance, and report learnings to leadership with clarity

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years managing social media for a brand with high public visibility, ideally at a product-led or design-forward company
  • Platform-native expertise onX.comwith strong instincts for what performs and why
  • Content creation skills: sharp copy, designer briefs, video storyboards, or shooting compelling content on your phone
  • Strong editorial judgment. You know which stories matter, when to post, and when to hold back
  • Ability to move fast without sacrificing quality or brand integrity
  • Genuine interest in energy, sustainability, or Tesla's mission
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with comfort operating in ambiguous environments, navigating approvals with patience, and evolving programs as they grow
