Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Program Coordinator.

In this role, the successful candidate NYU Langone Health under the Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) research initiative funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) was awarded over $450M to serve as the RECOVER Clinical Science Core (CSC). As the CSC, NYULH supports new studies of COVID-19 survivors and plans to partner with more than 200 study enrolling sites across the United States. Approximately 40,000 participants, including children, pregnant women adults, and decedents will be enrolled and followed for up to four years. The Program Coordinator position is within the representative authorship team of the CSC whose purpose is to coordinate efforts between Publications and Representative Authorship teams. This is an interdepartmental effort that spans the Office of Science and Research, Department of Medicine, Department of Population Health and Medical Center IT.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft video scripts that translate RECOVER research findings into accessible content for public audiences.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and impact of the video series, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with authors, patient, caregiver, and community representatives, as well as design vendors, throughout content development and production.
  • Scheduling & Coordinating: organizes and coordinates primarily virtual activities and special events with partnering community engagement organizations. May oversee staff assigned to this responsibility.
  • Develop new community resources and reviewing, updating, and maintaining existing resources to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Develop presentations and other materials to support meetings, trainings, and dissemination activities.

  • Liaise between RECOVER Principal Investigators, RECOVER Publications, and Representative Authors to facilitate representative engagement and support in manuscript development
  • Lead the patient, community, and caregiver Representative manuscript matching and authorship processes, hosting kickoff calls and coordinating correspondence between lead authors and Representatives
  • Analyze data and translating findings into clear, accessible language for patient, caregiver, community, and public audiences.

  • Project/Program coordination uses judgment to provide coordination for program activities to a program leader, department or organizational unit in the planning, preparation, organization, analyses, coordination and delivering of projects and programs while working with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude major programs. Coordinates/Communicates program activities with concerned parties including vendors and users. Develops, prepares and revises training materials, develops educational curriculum, database management and ensures satisfaction of end users through surveys and other measurement tools. Coordinates special technical trainings relative to program (e.g., statistical software).
  • Reports Prepares and issues reports within established procedures. Analyses findings/data and presents recommendations. Prepares and review documents independently and generates status/progress reports for ongoing and pending program related projects. Plans, arranges, outlines and drafts letters, memos, agendas presentations and reports.
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as required.
  • Research Activities Gathers, collects data from different parties, ensures accuracy and analyzes findings and presents recommendations as applicable. Responds to requests for information, summaries, and data based on information compiled from various sources. Plans, develops materials and presentations for training and educational sessions, departmental seminars and other activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or related field. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience including program/project coordination or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to multi task and project manage.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS is preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70,481.60 - $88,483.50 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
