Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Mobile Registered Nurse to join the team. This role will be PRN (5-15 hours per week). Events are held Mondays - Sundays, between 2-6 hours at length. Required to work 1 weekend shift per month.

Mobile Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships
  • Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice
  • Supports and empowers patients/families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions
  • Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective while providing counsel and acting as a resource to resolve issues
  • Anticipates patients' ethical, spiritual and cultural needs and intervenes to maximize desired patient outcomes
  • Documents all patient care activities, as per documentation standards, and evaluates the outcomes of documentation and contributes to related performance improvement initiatives
  • Serves as a resource, preceptor and mentor and provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice
  • Identifies own learning needs and develops professional goals, seeks opportunities to obtain education to enhance practice and collaborates in the development and implementation of an educational plan for identified needs
  • Demonstrates evidence of self-development by obtaining a minimum of six formal contact hours and maintains own Team Member Continuing Education Record
  • Utilizes standards, guidelines and pathways for care delivery, participates in quality improvement initiatives and incorporates research findings into nursing practice
  • May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, within 2 years of date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Other: Must live local to Loudoun County; flexible availability to work events which are anywhere between 2-6 hours long & ability to work 5-15 hours per week
