Presbyterian provides a year-long nurse residency program for newly graduated nurses who are interested in starting their professional careers.

The program has been shown to improve engagement and retention by providing a strong nursing foundation for quality nursing practice. Residents will obtain continuing education credits upon completion of the program.

Program participation is a requirement at Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center in the following units:

*Critical Care
*Emergency Department
*Adult Inpatient
*Family Birthing and Mother/Baby Care
*Operating Room

Nursing students and newly licensed nurses graduating from an accredited college within 12 months are welcome to apply. Qualied candidates must have a current RN license and an associate degree in nursing. Residents will be hired as full-time nursing staff with benets. Hours will be variable and at various sites.

Prior to starting the program, residents and fellows
will interview for full-time permanent positions with hiring managers.
