Job Description

Job Description
The Product Expert is the authoritative SME for Ameritas' life and annuity product behavior during the migration from wmA to LIDP Titanium. This role ensures that product rules, actuarial logic, historical behaviors, and data structures are accurately mapped, validated, and implemented across Titanium and all connected systems (Appian, Salesforce, CSS, CARA, Producer Workbench, Ameritas Account).

This role bridges actuarial, product, operations, IT, and vendor teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient conversions - including FLX Term, IUL, IA, and future product families.

This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.

What you do:

Product Behavior Ownership

  • Serve as the single source of truth for UL, IUL, IA, WL, and legacy product mechanics.
  • Interpret actuarial specs and historical wmA behavior to define expected Titanium behavior.
  • Identify mismatches between product intent and system implementation.

Migration & Conversion Leadership

  • Lead product mapping from wmA to Titanium, including data elements, calculations, and transaction logic.
  • Partner with conversion leads to validate containers, mapping rules, and edge cases.
  • Support FLX Term Day 2 cleanup and IUL/IA conversion planning.

Cross System Integration

  • Ensure product behavior is consistent across:

    • Appian (TP 183, TP 182)
    • Salesforce
    • Ameritas Account
    • CSS/HUB financial feeds
    • CARA ingestion
    • Producer Workbench

  • Validate that downstream systems receive correct values and triggers.

Actuarial & Data Validation

  • Define test cases for cash value, surrender value, COI, interest crediting, and loan behavior.
  • Validate Titanium outputs against actuarial expectations and wmA historical behavior.
  • Support reconciliation during FLX Term, IUL, and IA conversions.
  • Risk & Compliance Oversight
  • Identify risks related to product configuration, data quality, or system limitations.
  • Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance during migration.
  • Support audits and market conduct reviews (ties directly to nBA decommissioning needs).

Cross Functional Decision Authority

  • Resolve product questions across business, IT, actuarial, and vendor teams.
  • Drive prioritization of product related Fast Follow items and enhancements.
  • Support triage for post production issues (e.g., FLX Term EFT, billing, beneficiary roles).

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 7+ years in life insurance product development, actuarial modeling, or admin systems required.
  • Deep understanding of UL/IUL/IA mechanics required.
  • Experience with DXC administration systems preferred.
  • Experience with modern PAS platforms (Titanium, ALIP, V3, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong actuarial foundation (ASA/FSA preferred).
  • Ability to translate actuarial logic into system rules and data requirements preferred.
  • Experience with large scale life admin migrations preferred.
  • Experience with data mapping, ETL, or conversion validation preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL or actuarial modeling tools preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross functional leadership skills preferred.
