Your responsibilities
Job Summary To coach and otherwise guide a team of employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity, quality and safety while meeting operational deadlines and budgets. This typically includes recruiting and hiring qualified employees and ensuring that they receive all necessary training and education. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for maintaining a motivational work environment through appropriate goal setting, operating principles, communication, and fair treatment of all employees. As necessary, the supervisor must take action to correct poor performance and poor behavior that puts the employee or team at risk or impacts the team's ability to achieve its objectives. Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 + Monthly Gainshare Incentive

Your Impact

As a Second Shift Plant Supervisor, you'll lead operations on the warehouse floor, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality while building a strong, accountable team culture.

What You'll Do
  • Drive production and distribution performance to meet goals on time and within budget
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through hands-on support and feedback
  • Coordinate daily workflows and set clear priorities for the shift
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage employee relations matters
  • Ensure all team members are trained in safety, equipment use, and company policies
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
  • Oversee accurate recordkeeping and administrative responsibilities
  • Lead incident reporting and follow-up within required timelines
  • Monitor working conditions and take immediate corrective action when needed
  • Apply structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 5 Why, 8D, Kaizen)
  • Work directly on the warehouse floor in a safety-sensitive environment around heavy machinery
What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills
  • Strong communication skills across plant and cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment (forklift, packing, measuring)
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building ability
  • A strong safety mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of metals handling (staging, processing, packaging, shipping)
  • First aid and CPR training
  • Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, or lean practices
