The Highlights: Reporting to the Associate Director of Program Management, the Program Manager (PM) is responsible for successful program implementation of the faculty-led study abroad programs in their assigned program portfolio (typically 13-15 programs/year). The PM has a detailed understanding of the Study Abroad offerings in their assigned portfolio and makes critical decisions regarding their programs, while serving as the primary point of contact for faculty directors, students, and key stakeholders, including outside vendors and partners associated with program development and implementation. In addition to management of a portfolio of programs, the PM assists with other Study Abroad-related projects, including faculty training and development, student advising and orientation, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) efforts, and marketing initiatives. The PM is involved with regular program assessment and assists with leading the second level of emergency response within the Study Abroad office. This position has both administrative and management responsibilities and plays a key role in ensuring the success of study abroad program implementation for both students and faculty. What You'll Do: 1. Program Management and Implementation - The primary responsibility of the Program Manager is the overall organization, implementation, and operational success of the faculty-led study abroad programs in their assigned portfolio, as a member of the Program Management team. The PM actively participates and shares in team responsibilities, including: 2. Program Development 3. Additional Study Abroad Responsibilities The Program Manager may have a supervisory role with respect to one or more student peer advisors, to be determined in coordination with the rest of the Program Management Team. Works with Global Engagement Operations Manager and Financial Services, ensuring smooth business operations for the programs in assigned portfolio and helping ensure program viability based on program budget, operations, and enrollments. Responsible for the development of and continued adjustments to program budgets for all programs in assigned portfolio. What You'll Need: Minimum qualifications: B.A/B.S. or equivalent experience, with knowledge of study abroad best practices and experience working with international partners. Should have at least 2-4 years of experience in higher education administration, with at least 1-2 years of experience in study abroad and/or international education. Preferred: Experience working successfully with faculty and/or experience with faculty-led study abroad programs, a working knowledge of the principles of student support services in a university setting, foreign language proficiency and/or international work/living experience, familiarity with procedures and trends within study abroad international education, including diversity, equity, and inclusion. The anticipated hiring range for this position is: XX to XX. The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget. Occasional duties on weekends or evenings.
