Ready to build a career? It's time to look at Taylor.

Your Opportunity: Taylor Communications, a Taylor Corporation company, is seeking a Quality Manager to join the team at our York, PA facility.

This role is a great fit for someone who understands quality as part of the full manufacturing process, not just final inspection. The Quality Manager will help strengthen quality systems, improve root cause problem solving, and build quality into daily operations. We are looking for someone who can use data, process discipline, and cross-functional partnership to reduce repeat issues and support a stronger quality culture across the plant.

Work Authorization: To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the site's Quality Management System.
  • Partner with Operations and plant leadership to identify quality gaps, process issues, and repeat defects.
  • Use structured root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, CAPA, and Pareto analysis to drive sustainable corrective actions.
  • Establish, track, and report quality metrics that help measure process performance, trends, defects, and cost of poor quality.
  • Support the development and maintenance of quality standards, SOPs, control plans, documentation, and audit-ready processes.
  • Review quality and process data to identify patterns, determine root causes, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Lead or support process improvement activities, including process mapping, value stream analysis, kaizen events, and other continuous improvement efforts.
  • Help ensure quality is built into the process rather than relying only on quality checks or final inspection.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Customer Support, to improve quality performance and process consistency.
  • Support internal audits, external audits, customer requirements, and certification efforts as needed.
  • Train, coach, and influence employees and leaders on quality standards, root cause analysis, process improvement, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Help build a culture of accountability, process ownership, and continuous improvement.

You Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality management, quality engineering, or a similar quality leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience working with quality management systems, quality standards, corrective actions, and process improvement.
  • Strong root cause analysis experience, including the ability to identify true process issues and drive sustainable corrective actions.
  • Experience using data to evaluate quality performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and how quality is built into production.
  • Ability to partner with production, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership teams.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain quality standards, train others, and influence change.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement in a plant environment.

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or similar certification.
  • ISO 9001 experience, including internal audits or supporting audit readiness.
  • Experience with QMS tools, ERP systems, document control systems, or quality record systems.
  • Experience with statistical process control, capability studies, dashboards, or quality reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
  • Printing, packaging, corrugated, extrusion, food manufacturing, or other process-based manufacturing experience.
