Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Assistant at the Center for Climate, Health, and Healthcare ( CCHH). This position will directly report to the Center's Associate Director and lead administrators. This role is structurally dedicated to supporting the ongoing research projects, faculty, and administrative operations of the Center. The Research Project Assistant will have the opportunity to work in a collegial work environment to support innovative, multidisciplinary studies spanning health equity and community wellness.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Assists with ongoing project support under the guidance of the Associate, Director, faculty PI and Project Manager, including, but not limited to: scheduling meetings and taking minutes, processing procurement materials, and coordinating logistics for Center seminars, workshops, and events.
  • Maintains positive relationships with institutional, external, and community partners.
  • Plays key role in administrative management of research projects (including pre- and post-award) and supports dissemination of research findings to stakeholders and collaborators.
  • Assists with grant submissions, protocol development, and manuscript development on an as-needed basis through the drafting of narrative passages under guidance from faculty and the collection of engagement metrics for funder reporting.
  • Provides general administrative support for faculty, Center leadership, and daily operations, while ensuring seamless cross-center coordination with CCHH leadership.

Qualifications






Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or other related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant research experience.


Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to be well organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and working knowledge of statistical tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior qualitative research experience.
  • Basic statistical knowledge.
  • Experience with performing basic data analyses.
  • Proficiency in SAS or R.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data.
