Job Summary

Provides expert instruction and clinical support in kinesiology and physiotherapy while maintaining responsibility for comprehensive patient care. This role delivers classroom training, supports curriculum development efforts, and mentors instructors in technical subject areas. As a licensed physical therapist and subject matter expert, the position conducts thorough patient evaluations, supports TRAS and lesson plan updates, and performs associated clinical and administrative duties to ensure high-quality care and training outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Presents technical/professional assistance, curriculum development and classroom instruction on Kinesiology and Physiotherapy.
  • Trains, guides and mentor's adjunct and assigned instructors through technical subject areas.
  • Assists in the development of Kinesiology and Physiotherapy materials by providing updated lesson plans and POI Training Requirements and Analysis System (TRAS) documentation input and review in conjunction with the developer.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for Kinesiology and Physiotherapy and is licensed and qualified to function as a physical therapist responsible for the full range of provision of physical therapy patient care, including physician extender work, comprehensive evaluations of patients using screening and diagnostic testing, and associated administrative duties.
  • Comply with company standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None
Required Qualifications and Education
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a practicing PT in a collegiate, professional, or Olympic sports environment.
  • Minimum of one (1) years' experience as an instructor in an academic setting (military or civilian) with groups of up to 100 individuals.
  • Degree in physical therapy from an accredited college approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
  • Certificated as a physical therapist and able to obtain accreditation through the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital and Professional ethics and Womack Army Medical Center policies and directives.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
