Security Officer Roving Driver

As a Security Officer Roving Driver in Salinas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the chance to work independently and as part of a team while reflecting our agile, reliable, and people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including parking areas, vehicle storage areas, service lanes, showrooms, and perimeter access points, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that could help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter trespassing, theft-related activity, and/or disruptions involving customers, vehicles, or property.
• Support opening and closing routines, observe after-hours activity, and communicate with local responders and/or management when situations require additional assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
