The Facilities Mechanical Team at Sandia is dedicated to maintaining and optimizing the performance of all building mechanical systems. Our comprehensive HVAC team specializes in both preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our facilities. Our mission is to support Sandia's overarching goals by leveraging our extensive resources and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Regular inspection and servicing of pumps, air handlers, chillers, boilers, and refrigeration systems (both low and medium temperature). Routine checks and maintenance of pneumatic and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems to ensure optimal performance. Corrective Maintenance: Prompt diagnosis and repair of mechanical system issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity. Implementation of corrective actions to address system failures and inefficiencies. System Optimization: Continuous monitoring and fine-tuning of HVAC systems to enhance energy efficiency and performance. Upgrading and retrofitting existing systems with advanced technologies to meet evolving demands.
