Summary:

Responsible for a moderate staff support function that crosses multiple locations or for a staff support function that is located only at one facility. Accountable for the development of local/regional/state programs that this role will not supervise. The primary focus is managing or administering a discrete function within the organization. Considered a leadership staff position, providing expertise to other leaders within the organization.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Provides consultation to others in region/location. Builds consensus among various groups, group facilitation, and public speaking.
  • Takes responsibility for identifying, strategizing, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding giving prospects.
  • In coordination with other Foundation staff, establishes relationships and partnerships with various community leaders, advocates and other influencers.
  • Responsible for department operations including Concur reporting, Fund Request system, Board of Directors meeting and committee support, and administrative needs.
  • Coordinates regularly with Regional Shared Services Back Office Team.
  • Collaborates with the development staff in the planning and execution of the total development program.
  • Establish good working relationships and collaborations with all constituencies of the Health System, as well as Associates, physicians, board members, business/community leaders and donors.
  • Maintains effective internal and external communication with the hospital family and community.
  • Takes personal responsibility to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards as promulgated by state and federal agencies, the hospital and other regulatory entities.
  • Provides reports and trend data.
  • Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills
* Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business field required.

Experience
* Five years of experience in a similar setting required.
* Development/fundraising experience and relationship, cultivation/management experience required.
* Experience working with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM or donor database, preferred.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Three years of experience processing gifts and/or data in Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge preferred.
* Background in fundraising or non-profit a plus.
* Able to work independently and make sound decisions, utilizing judgment and analytical skills and to effectively communicate internally and externally.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement project plans; to develop effective marketing and communications material.
* Ability to perform assigned responsibilities in a manner that meets the needs of department goals and objectives.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
* Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or NXT Fundamentals Professional Certification preferred.

In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.
