Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, providing information, and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
