Role: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76177

Duration: 3+ Months (Potential to Convert to Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday to Friday 10:00 AM 7:00 PM CST; Training: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM CST (first week), 9:00 AM 6:00 PM CST (second week); Occasional Saturdays 8:00 AM 5:00 PM CST

The technician must be able to come on site for training. 2-3 months. then this is a hybrid role. 2 days in the office and 3 days remote

Overview: The Pharmacy Technician provides essential support to pharmacists in filling prescriptions for patients, ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing while maintaining patient confidentiality and satisfaction. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and package medications accurately and efficiently
  • Count, pour, weigh, and label medications
  • Fill and refill prescriptions according to doctors orders
  • Process insurance claims and collect payment information
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns
  • Maintain organized records of all prescriptions filled and dispensed
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program approved by the State Board of Pharmacy
  • Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Need to be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and current PTCB or NHA CPhT license in good standing
  • Good data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to come on site daily on time with good attendance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail or healthcare setting preferred
