Job Title: Data Center Security Engineer (Security Compliance Analyst II)

Summary
Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Data Center Security Engineer to join the Data Center Security team as an individual contributor. This role will focus on ensuring the security and integrity of Client's rapidly scaling data center infrastructure and operations.
The ideal candidate will have
10+ years of experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure, with strong expertise in
physical security design, physical security operations, risk management, and secure operational processes.
The candidate should be capable of defining mid-to-long-term security strategies based on business priorities, supporting security design and infrastructure initiatives, driving cross-functional projects, and influencing technical and non-technical partners to execute critical security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support physical security design strategies and requirements for mission-critical data center infrastructure.
- Define and communicate clear operational security requirements to engineering, construction, operations, and other execution-focused teams.
- Develop, administer, and continuously improve secure operational processes, policies, SOPs, and procedures.
- Support physical security operations including guard force management, alarm acknowledgement and response, incident response and management, and secure operations.
- Conduct security risk assessments and identify opportunities to strengthen physical security across data center environments.
- Support business continuity, operational continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives, including understanding security's role in these processes.
- Drive standardization and optimization of physical security processes across data center operations.
- Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop and execute security programs and projects.
- Monitor, assess, and communicate regulatory changes, emerging compliance risks, and security trends to relevant stakeholders.
- Support Compliance and other control functions with research, analysis, and responses to client or business escalations.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and business leaders.
- Define and communicate a clear security roadmap aligned with strategic business priorities.
- Influence partners and stakeholders to prioritize and execute critical security initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mission-critical infrastructure operations management.
- Strong experience in physical security design, preferably within data center or other mission-critical environments.
- Broad knowledge of physical security and risk management.
- Expert-level experience developing and administering secure operational processes.
- Experience with physical security operations, including guard force management, alarm response, incident management, and secure operations.
- Understanding of incident response, business continuity, operational continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Experience working effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
- Experience identifying, documenting, and communicating operational security requirements.
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders and drive execution without direct authority.
- Experience building relationships with cross-functional partners and business leaders.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience supporting hyperscale or large-scale data center environments.
- Experience with physical security system design and deployment, including access control, CCTV/video surveillance, alarm systems, GSOC/SOC, and perimeter security systems.
- Experience with security compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks.
- Experience with third-party security vendors and guard force providers.
- Experience supporting security during data center construction, commissioning, or operational handover.
- Relevant security certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, CISSP, CISM, or similar.
