Description DBT Therapist-In-Training Join our team as a DBT Therapist-In-Training and help individuals build skills for lasting emotional wellness and recovery. Under the direction of a Licensed Therapist or Licensed Psychologist, this role provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, with a strong emphasis on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and evidence-based practices. Key Responsibilities Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy services. Facilitate DBT-focused individual and group therapy, including skills training in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Conduct clinical assessments, develop diagnoses, and create collaborative treatment plans. Deliver psychoeducation and skill-building services to clients and supports. Participate in treatment/recovery team meetings and clinical supervision. Maintain timely, accurate documentation and client records. Provide trauma-informed, person-centered care aligned with agency standards and evidence-based practices. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field. Eligibility for a Wisconsin training license (APSW, LPC-IT, or MFT-IT). Practicum experience in behavioral health services required. Experience or training in DBT strongly preferred; willingness to complete DBT-specific training required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
